    Gulf Wars Art/Sci
At Gulf Wars 2008, Mistress Maeva Eiriksdottir and Lady Bres both
scored a perfect 25/25 on their scribal entries. Thanks to their hard work
and our other talented artisans Trimaris won the Gulf Wars Art/Sci War
    Point this year. Well done!
    Maeva Eiriksdottir
Congratulations to our very own Chart Signet, Maeva Eiriksdottir, who
was announced to be elevated to the Order of the Laurel while attending
Village Faire. Maeva will be elevated at an upcoming event. Look here for
more information! Of course, Maeva's main area of expertise is
    Calligraphy and Illumination.
    Scribal Blog!
The College of Scribes now has a group blog to discuss ongoing
projects, art progress, scribal topics, and anything of scribal interest. To
become an author on this group blog, contact Maeva and she will add
    you. Visit our blog!
Scribal Stats: AoAs and GoAs for 17 Reigns!
Thomas von Wildstein really likes to make charts and graphs. His latest
graph shows us the last 17 reigns and how many AoA and GoA level
awards were given over each reign. Light grey bars denota AoAs or AoA
level Awards. Dark grey bars denote GoAs or GoA level awards. Dates
included: 3.27.99 to 2.24.07 (last update of the OP before graph was
    created)
Update: See the stats here. [pdf]

*Includes only unordered AoAs and GoAs. Does not include any awards
that come as part of an armigerous or grant level award (ex: Goa with
    Triskele Trimaris)
    Merchandising!
Merchandising! Maeva (who has all the best ideas) recently pointed out
that scribe t-shirts might be pretty cool and that we can make that
happen with Cafepress. Now you can get yourself a scribal t-shirt
boasting a phrase penned by Gwenllyan verch Morgan that graced the
window of Scribes Point "Long Nights / Lonely Women / Scribe's Point".

Have a perfect slogan for a t-shirt? Want to request a certain type of
item? Got artwork? Send it in!

Please be aware that prices have not been marked up over the Cafepress
base price. No money is being made from the sale of apparel and other
Cafepress products. There is no revenue... just fun.
    Scribe-a-thon 2007: Calligraphers Gone Wild! (4/9/07)
    Start Date: Apr 1st, 2007

Duration: Reign of Ardion and Lisa. Last peices must be turned in before
scribes meeting at that Coronation event.

How to Get Points: Do calligraphy! For every calligraphed piece you
turn in you get a point. All pieces must be turned into our secretary,
Gwenllyan verch Morgan, or she must be notified of how many pieces
were turned in and to whom they were turned in. Gwen keeps the tally,
so make sure to get her your information! Rack up points and fill the
scroll coffers at the same time.

Why to Enter: You want to learn a new calligraphic hand, improve your
calligraphy, make Mavea happy, give Maeva back-strain from the number
of scrolls she will have to tote around, prestige, prizes, service to your
Kingdom. Also, with practice you naturally get better at calligraphy... so
    why not?

Prizes?: Of course... there are always prizes. As I start to collect them I
will make sure to create a list which will be linked to the CoS website as
well as a weekly updated points tally. If you want to donate prizes email
    me:
