Award Information

    The Order of the Chivalry (KSCA): are outstanding fighters
    who have received recognition for their fighting skills, as well
    as their achievements off the field. They are the very models
    of courtesy and Chivalry.

    Award Level

    Kingdom, patent

    The general requirements for receiving any Patent of Arms
    are: courtesy, chivalry, hospitality, courtly behavior, and
    knowledge or skill equal to that of the members of that Order.
    In addition, they must be willing toshare their knowledge with
    others.

    Award Verbiage

    Text note: The verbiage for patents in not generally standard
    within      Trimaris. Individual texts are most often created to
    suit each candidate. These two texts are intended as guides
    only.

    1.) Know ye by these present that We, the Crown Trimaris,
    King and Queen of Trimaris, having elevated you,
    _________________________ , into, do hereby charge you
    to fulfill the responsibilities of the rank as befits a
    peer of Our Realm, and do further confirm upon you the
    privileges and rights thereto . We affirm your exclusive right
    to bear the arms patent hereupon displayed  as
    _______________________ . Set on this document by Our
    Hand and seal this _____ day of _____, Anno Societatis ___.

    2.) LO, praise of the prowess
    Of mighty warriors, of spear-armed thanes,
    in days long sped, we have heard,
    and what honor the athelings won!
    To Us a mighty hero was sent,
    a son to this land, to favor the folk,
    feeling the woe of his enemies.
    So is named the Wielder of Wonder, with world's renown.
    Famed was this ______________far flew the boast of him,
    son of Trimaris, in many lands.
    So becomes it to Us to quit him wellby honor and gift,
    by lauded deeds shall he have honor in every clan.
    Then shall we bear him over to ocean's billow,
    loving clansmen, as late he charged Us,
    and therefore bind him in glory as naméd
    To the rank of Knight in the Society for Creative Anachronism
    For We the Crown of these three-shored lands
    Do set it forth in written word.

    Badge

    A white belt, a gold chain, and gold spurs. Unadorned chains
    of gold are reserved for use by the Chivalry, but only if they
    have sworn their fealty to the Crown. Spurs of gold and
    simple white belts are reserved for use of the Chivalry.
