    About the teacher: Ysabela is a 15th century Spanish
    noblewoman. She is descended from the Aragonese
    nobility who assisted James I in retaking the island of
    Majorca from the Moors in 1211. She lives in the port
    city of Palma where she keeps a close eye on the
    shipping business which she inherited from her late
    husband. When she is not engaged in commercial
    trade, she likes to read, game, and dance. As penance
    for these vices, she makes tablet-woven goods for the
    Church. On the council of her confessor, she recently
    made a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. She
    was accompanied on this journey by several Knights of
    the Order of Santiago as one of her relatives is Master
    of the Order, Rodrigo Manrique.
