Scribe-a-thon: Contest Information

    Start Date: March 29th, 2008

Duration: Reign of Mittion and Rosalinda. Last pieces must be turned in
before scribes meeting at that Coronation event.

How to Get Points: Draw! Calligraph! Illuminate! For every
calligraphed, drawn or illuminated piece you turn in you get a point. If you
draw, illuminate and calligraph all of one piece you will receive three points
for that one page! Up to two additional points may be awarded for highly
complex pieces. This means you can score up to five points on just one
    page!

Requirements: To qualify, illuminations must be at least a one-side border
or equivalent thereof. All pieces must be submitted on Bristol Board,
Pergamentum, or similar art papers. Faux parchment and printer paper are
not accepted due to their acidic qualities.

Submitting Work: All pieces must be turned into our Chart Signet,
Mistress Maeva Eiriksdottir, or she must be notified of how many pieces
were turned in and to whom they were turned in. Mavea keeps the tally, so
make sure to get her your information! Rack up points and fill the scroll
    coffers at the same time.

Why to Enter: You want to learn a new calligraphic hand, improve your
calligraphy, paint pretty pictures, make Mavea happy, give Maeva back-
strain from the number of scrolls she will have to tote around, prestige,
prizes, service to your Kingdom. Also, with practice you naturally get better
at calligraphy and illumination... so why not?

Prizes?: Of course... there are always prizes. Check the prize page for
updated information. If you wish to donate a prize, please contact Mistress
    Maol at melessee@gmail.com
