Event Details:
    -Date: Saturday July 28, 2007
    -Time: Noon to 7pm
-Where: Veteran’s Memorial Park, Hudson, FL
-What: an informal gathering of scribes to work on projects, have classes,
exchange ideas and resources, and just socialize
-SNQE site is indoors, and air-conditioned.
-NO garb. NO fees. NO formal meetings. Lotsa FUN.

    Bring:
Your art supplies and/or latest work, books or materials you wish to
share, something for the pot-luck (or $ for eating out) plus your own
beverages. We'll be there for lunch, and maybe dinner as well. We will have
access to the kitchen, with microwave, stove (no cooking utensils or pots
supplied), refrigerator and ice machine. There are three major grocery stores, four
strip malls, at least five convenience stores, and a dozen or more restaurants &
fast food places within three miles of the park.

    Note:
There are no facilities for children in this room, but plenty to do in
the rest of the park. By park rules, all children must be supervised while
on site. There are extensive playgrounds, and a pool (I think there's a small
fee) but someone must be actively watching over all children under 12. There
will be some overnight crash space available. (There's always backyards for tents.)
Let us know if you need crash space, especially if you want to come Friday night.

    Planned Activities:
Book Review : Bring your favorite resource book and show it off!
Games : I have a few ideas for some unusual scribal-themed games.
COS Library : See what we have. Make suggestions on what we might try to
acquire. Drool over the pretty pictures. (Bring your own drool towel, please.)
Classes!! : (whatever we can assemble by then!) Post your wish-list on the
Scribe's list. Been planning one you want to teach? Here's your chance to
try it out on a captive audience. Got questions about one you took elsewhere?
Plenty of brains here to pick over.

SR 52 junctions with both US 19 and I-75.

    gwenllyan@aol.com

The site is handicapped-friendly: no steps. Please let me know if you plan to
attend, so I can tell the park how many tables I'll need for that day.
